About the National Center for Constitutional Studies

Our History

Our story began in 1971 with the realization that Americans were losing sight of the incredible “Freedom Formula” our founding fathers gave their lives for.  It became the mission of the National Center for Constitutional Studies (NCCS), originally called The Freeman Institute, to restore the U.S. Constitution in accordance with the intent of America's Founders.

Through the years NCCS has published books, (including The 5000 Year Leap & The Making of America) as well as other product, in an effort to educate the public on correct Constitutional Principles.  In addition to our books, study Aids, and other educational resources, we have been active in holding thousands of seminars covering every state in the union.  These seminars have ranged in length from evening meetings to all day events.

Our Educational Programs

A lot has changed in the last 40 + years, but our commitment to education remains the same.  As Thomas Jefferson said, “education...is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power”.  Here are a few ways in which we are continuing our educational goals.

Constitutional Seminars

We continue to hold Constitutional seminars around the nation in the form of all day Saturday events and, in some cases, evening meetings.  In our seminars we talk about America's Great Success Formula.  We explore the lives of Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Washington and others who rediscover the key to the creation of the first free nation in modern times. We trace their adventure from 1400 B.C. to A.D. 1787.

We then take a refreshing look at the solid political and economic principles from the preamble through the amendments to the US Constitution. In this study you learn, perhaps for the first time, how nearly every problem in America today can be solved by restoring these successful concepts.  Click here to see if there is a seminar scheduled near you.  Learn how you can Host a Seminar in your area.

Pocket Constitutions

In the past several years NCCS has undertaken a project to encourage Americans to read and then learn about the Constitution of the United States.  We started by printing 500,000 copies of our own Pocket Constitution, (which includes the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights and other amendments, and the Declaration of Independence).  We then invited the patriots across the nation to help us distribute them.  We sold them for 35 cents each and offered free shipping.  We thought that if 500 patriots could personally commit 100 people to read the United States Constitution; that would translate into 500,000 individuals personally being invited to read this important document.  Since we started this program in 2004, and with the help of individuals, businesses, schools, government agencies, etc., we have been able to distribute over 8,000,000 copies of this booklet.  We have been thrilled by the positive response this program has generated.  As we continue this program we invite you to participate with us as we encourage every American to read the United States Constitution.
